| SeaBatteries™ are a unique submersible power system designed to perform in the high pressure/low temperature environment of the deep ocean. Deployments to 6,000 meters have proven SeaBatteries™ to be reliable at great depths. At the heart of each system is a maintenance-free, rechargeable, lead acid battery utilizing a non-liquid electrolyte. (Click here for more information on the PS-12400 PowerSonic) Each battery is pressure-modified and mounted in a virtually indestructible polyethylene case filled with inert oil. Built into the top of each case is a resilient urethane diaphragm providing continuous equalization with ambient pressure. The transparent diaphragm incorporates a molded valve assembly for filling and venting the SeaBattery™. It also permits visual inspection of the battery status. The dual seal design ensures a leak-free seal. Carrying handles are included on the case. |
