The SS-30C camera with built-in LED lighting is DeepSea’s smallest color video camera, and it is the replacement to the popular SS-126C. This new and improved version features enhances resolution, sensitivity and durability. The SS-30C housing is constructed from stainless steel for maximum durability and will not wear in contact with tough materials such as cast iron. Six ultra-bright LED’s are built into the camera and protected by a smooth, chip and crack resistant sapphire window. LED lighting provides powerful and virtually indestructible illumination over thousands of hours of use. The 1/3” lens is fixed-focus, meaning there are no moving parts to break loose or wear. Each SS-30C is factory pressure-tested and guaranteed to 400 meters underwater.

The SS-30C is designed to withstand the rigors of day-to-day inspection in confined areas where environmental and mechanical shock are unavoidable. The camera has applications in pipe and borehole inspection, fixed-mount monitoring, tank and void inspection, in fisheries and aqua culture, or just about any confined space with access over 1.18 inches. It is also ideal for inspection of machinery and engineering spaces both on land and aboard ship. It is an economical solution for applications that previously required very expensive and temperamental remote CCD cameras. The SS-30C can be used alone as a drop system, affixed to tools or remote manipulators, and other equipment.

A choice of two cables is available including RG-59 triax and a micro-triax with a tough Kevlar braid. The SS series of cameras are ideally suited to work as a system with our family of controllers which include the ability to vary the LED light intensity, view the image with high resolution monitors, output the video signal to other monitors and VCR’s, or make video recordings with Hands-Free video overlay.
