The Super SeaArc® 150w HID is the big brother to Deepsea Power & Lights popular SeaArc® 5000 gas discharge light. Like the SeaArc®5000 the Super SeaArc® 150w HID is 3-5 times more efficient (lumens/watt) than comparable tungsten-halogen lights while providing over twice the light output.

A properly designed ballast is required to operate all gas discharge lights and the Super SeaArc® 150w HID is available with two different ballast options. The self-contained ballast option incorporates the ballast into the housing and eliminates the need for additional interconnect cables. The remote ballast option allows the ballast portion of the light to be mounted up to 10 feet away from the lighthead to facilitate installation in tight areas.

With a choice of 4000°K or 7000°K color temperature lamps, the Super SeaArc® 150w HID produces a very white light that penetrates further through seawater than conventional incandescent lamps. Since there is no filament to break, gas discharge lights are also less sensitive to vibration and shock than incandescent lights. The Super SeaArc® 150w HID is an excellent choice for use on ROVs, as well as any applications where high quality light, efficiency and ruggedness are of prime importance.
