SeaLaser® FAQs
What are the primary applications for the SeaLaser® 100?
The SeaLaser® 100 is primarily used for scaling and ranging. By mounting two lasers at a fixed distance (typically 10 cm apart), operators can project dots or lines onto an object in the video feed to accurately estimate its size.
What color options are available, and why does it matter?
Lasers are available in Green (532 nm) and Red (635 nm). Green lasers are generally more visible underwater over longer distances because water absorbs red light more rapidly than green light.
What is the depth rating of the laser products?
The standard SeaLaser® 100 is rated to 2,000 meters, while the Micro SeaLaser® offers a deeper rating of up to 6,000 meters in a more compact form factor for deep-sea ROVs.
